Perimeter Investments was founded on a simple conviction: that the people who manage your money should have their own money invested alongside yours — in the same stocks, with the same discipline, and with the same stakes.
Our Story
Prior to 2006, our founder's career was defined by high-level institutional finance — serving as an Analyst, Research Director, and General Securities Principal. But a severe traumatic brain injury forced him into early retirement.
Navigating life after a severe injury fundamentally changed how he views risk, safety, and wealth. Today, he uses his institutional background and his deeply personal understanding of risk to help families build a financial perimeter that provides true security.
Our Founder
Gerard Hallaren, CFA
The same person who manages your investments is the person with whom you speak. There is no hand-off to a junior associate, no committee, and no computer algorithm making decisions.
Our principal holds a deep commitment to fee-only, fiduciary advising. That means we are compensated only by our clients — never by commissions, referral fees, or product sales. Our interests are aligned with yours by design. As a CFA, Hallaren is bound to always act in client's interests. We will send you or a portion of your money to other managers if we believe that is better for you.
